JERRY RICE JOINS THE FOUNDATION
Since July 2006, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a 501 c 6 not for profit corporation, has been advertising in national newspapers and magazines providing positive testimonials regarding the chiropractic profession. NFL Great and Dancing with the Stars celebrity, Jerry Rice, joined the campaign in 2008 providing his positive testimonials about chiropractic in such national publications as Sports Illustrated, Women's Health, Men's Fitness, USA Today and ESPN, the magazine. To review the coverage to these releases including the newspaper, stations and TV that carried stories go to http://www.f4cp.com/communications.htm. It is estimated that this exposure alone generated 157 million positive messages and growing.
TWO NEW CELEBRITIES ADD THEIR SUPPORT FOR CHIROPRACTIC
Recently retired Brigadier General Becky Halstead and ESPN sports analyst Linda Cohn are the latest of prominent people to express their support for chiropractic.
General Halstead is the first woman graduate of West Point to obtain the rank of General and the first woman general to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan. She appeals to numerous audiences from members of Congress to veterans to the general public. The Foundation has created two ads featuring the General. They include the following quote, "the year I was deployed in Iraq, I missed my friends and family -- and my chiropractor."
Linda Cohn is a well known sports anchor person for ESPN whose testimonial regarding chiropractic includes the statements, "As a TV sports anchor, I am always interviewing world class athletes, and many attribute their success to the care only a doctor of chiropractic can provide." A full page ad featuring Ms. Cohn is on page 55 of June/July Men's Fitness.
